Getting Involved

There are many ways to get involved in HSTE and meet more members.  Here are just a few:
Board Membership:
Every year, four or five board member positions open up.  As long as you are a HSTE member in good standing, you can nominate yourself for one of the positions.  Board Members are elected through online and live voting at the annual board meeting during the SOTF Conference event.  Board membership is a volunteer position and has a term of three years.
SOTF Conference Volunteer:
As a co-sponsor of the SOTF Conference event in November, HSTE members are needed to help volunteer at the tech help table as well as helping at each session.  If you are interested, please email us to get on the volunteer list.

ISTE Special Interest Groups (SIGs):
The larger ISTE organization is always looking for members to volunteer and become a part of the different special interest groups, now known as Professional Learning Networks (PLNs).  For a complete list, click here.
